2022 Tax year deadlines & important dates:

For individuals:

 

January 16th, 2023 - 2022 4th quarter estimated payments due

April 18th, 2023 - Tax filing deadline, 2023 1st quarter estimated payments due

June 15th, 2023 - 2023 2nd quarter estimated payments due

September 15th, 2023 - 2023 3rd quarter estimated payments due

October 16th, 2023 - Extended tax filing deadline

January 15th, 2024 - 2023 4th quarter estimated payments due

For payroll:

January 31st, 2023 - 2022 4th quarter payroll reports due

April 30th, 2023 - 2023 1st quarter payroll reports due

July 31st, 2023 - 2023 2nd quarter payroll reports due

October 31st, 2023 - 2023 3rd quarter payroll reports due

January 31st, 2024 - 2023 4th quarter and year-end payroll reports due

For business taxes (S-corp, partnership):

January 31st, 2023 - W-2 & 1099-NEC filing due

March 15th, 2023 - Tax filing deadline

March 31st, 2023 - 1099-MISC filing due

September 15th, 2023 - Extended tax filing deadline

Want to check on the status of your refund? You can use these links on the IRS and ODR websites to verify the status of your tax return and refunds.

IRS: Get Refund Status - Check on the status of your refunds for the latest tax year.

IRS: Where's My Amended Return - Check on the status of an amended tax return.

Oregon Department of Revenue Online - Click on the "Where's my refund?" box on the lower left to check on the status of your tax refunds.

Tax Payments:

If you'd like to pay your tax balance online or set up a payment plan, here are some links for information and payments.

Electronic Federal Tax Payment System® - EFTPS allows you to pay any tax due to the Internal Revenue Service from a bank account withdrawal once you've signed up for an account.

IRS: Pay Your Taxes by Debit or Credit Card - This IRS page gives information on payments via debit/credit card and any fees associated with their payment processors.

IRS: Apply Online for a Payment Plan - If you need to pay off your federal tax balance over time, you can apply for a payment plan and get information on the IRS website here. 

Oregon Department of Revenue: Payment plans - If you need to pay off your Oregon tax balance over time, you can apply for a payment plan and get information on the ODR website here. 

Oregon Department of Revenue Online - Click on the "Make a payment" box on the lower right to make payments online via bank account, credit card, or debit card. 

City of Portland: Revenue Division - Find information here on paying for the Portland Arts Tax or City of Portland business taxes.
